Xi'an

Xi'an, formerly known as Chang'an, is the capital city of Shaanxi Province and one of China’s Four Great Ancient Capitals. It served as the imperial capital for 13 dynasties and is the eastern starting point of the ancient Silk Road. The Terracotta Army

The Terracotta Army is a world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site and hailed as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Built over 2,200 years ago to guard the mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, it consists of thousands of life-sized clay warriors, horses and chariots. Every warrior has a unique facial feature, fully showing the brilliant craftsmanship and powerful military strength of the Qin Dynasty.

Xi'an City Wall

Xi'an City Wall is the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall remaining in China. Constructed in the Ming Dynasty, it encircles the old downtown area. Tourists can walk or rent bicycles to ride along the wall, enjoying the fantastic view of ancient architecture and modern city scenery side by side.

Giant Wild Goose Pagoda

The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda stands in Da Ci'en Temple. It was built in the Tang Dynasty for storing Buddhist scriptures brought back from India by the famous monk Xuanzang. This landmark of Xi’an represents splendid Tang Dynasty Buddhist culture. The musical fountain show at its northern square is also popular among tourists.
